Punchline titles and transitions for FCPX – tour by editor extraordinaire Chris Fenwick

by planetmitchLeave a Comment

My good friend and editor extraordinaire Chris Fenwick (also a part of our Digital Convergence Podcast – listen to the latest episode!) graciously agreed to put together a tour of the new set of transitions and titles for Final Cut Pro X (FCPX) called Punchline.

Noise Industries development partner SUGARfx introduces Punchline, a collection of high quality title and transition elements that have been designed by its broadcast team exclusively for Final Cut Pro X. Features include 11 different customizable titles, 21 customizable transitions, footage enhancement, as well as unique and complex element usage such as mattes, color modes and animation.

SUGARfx Punchline is part of Noise Industries's FxFactory, the visual effects platform for Apple Final Cut Pro, Motion, and Adobe After Effects.

Chris' description

I got the chance to take a look at a plugin for FCPX called Punchline available thru the FX Factory. So you know… I’m not being paid to do this, I’m sort of doing it for my friend Mitch at Planet5D… so far it looks like they are gonna let me keep the plug in but for the $50 bucks that it costs… its barely pay… Just so you know.

That being said, I dig this plug in. It has several titles and transition elements in it and they can all be modified at least in the color arena. The efx render quickly and the preview quite well even before they are completely rendered. Take a look at this Review and see some of the things that Punchline makes it REALLY easy to do.

You can download the Noise Industies fx Factory here.

Thanks so much Chris! Looks cool!
