I don't think you've ever seen anything like this… timelapse with live people being as still as possible giving the illusion of a cinemagraph.
I've followed Shawn Reeder for a while (and bumped into him once or twice at NAB) and today's his 40th birthday (Happy Birthday Shawn!).
He released this to celebrate his 40th.
I instantly loved it. I told him I’d never seen a timelapse where a human stood still so long and asked him how he managed it… he said:
“Its VERY hard!!!! But after a year and a half of shooting, I gathered a nice collection of shots that worked. Many didn’t”
I told him: “The first scene i was sure you faked it but then I saw others moving slightly”
“It's all real.
I really learned how to be present and still in the moment.
It was always such a grounding meditation”
So… I’m amazed and present to you “The Eternal Moment of Now” by Shawn Reeder
In a world filled with distractions, there’s an art to being present. More than ever we have a million different places outside of ourself to place our attention and yet when we truly tune into the present moment, we realize that’s all there ever really is, The Eternal Moment Of Now.
