You know we've been fans of SmallHD for a while around here (and it isn't because they've sponsored us in the past)… they make great monitors and if you're ever at NAB the crowd around their booth confirms it.
They've recently announced several new lower priced monitors and I think you might be interested.
SmallHD produces strong, durable monitors and these appear to be similar with an aluminum chassis and shock mounted screens.
And the software comes fully loaded with the usual tools for focus assist, exposure assist, audio meters, waveforms and the like. These also include the ability to display LUTs in real time! And you'll have access to their free collection of 3D LUT profiles which are loaded via an SD card slot.
You can use both Canon LP-E6 batteries or Sony L batteries… with a reported 9 hours on the Sony NPF-970.
The 701 Lite and the 702 Lite are available immediately and are priced from $699. The 702 Bright is a bit more at $1499 but is ‘daylight viewable' with multiple power options as well.
Note… as I said SmallHD has been a sponsor in the past, but they didn't ask us to post this nor are they currently sponsoring us… you keep telling us you want to know about new gear.
