Atomos Continues to Listen to Their Customers With New Action Add-Ons

The Atomos Shogun has been everywhere for the past year. If you were at NAB you undoubtedly can recall seeing the massive posters for it all over the Las Vegas Convention Center. If you weren’t there, I’m sure you’ve seen it advertised all over the Internet, via forums and blogs. We sure have been talking about it a lot.

You have to hand it to Atomos, where most companies would have fallen short of the hype that they’ve accumulated, they’ve delivered on almost every front. That reliability has sold 15,000 Shogun 4K Monitor/Recorders. That’s a very impressive number for a company that only a few years ago was as small as they were.

A continuation of that reliability has been their focus on providing shooters with what they need. Recently, we posted about their BareBones edition Recorders, which was implemented as a direct call to their customers who have been loyally shooting Atomos. Now they’ve announced a new set of Action Add-Ons for the Shogun. These products were developed because of Atomos Shogun users reached out, and asked what they want.

Here’s a quick run-through of what’s been added:

Shogun Armor Case. A custom bumper which gives extra protection to the recorder/monitor from knocks and scratches.

– Matte LCD protection panel which reduces reflections, protects against scratches and diffuses light eliminating polarization.

– Lightweight and durable travel case. The perfect size for a camera bag in cases when you need to travel light.

– Custom fit Shogun sun hood (available in yellow or black) which maintains LCD clarity even in bright sunlight

Bundled together, the, “action pack” is currently $119.97 at B&H. That’s 50% off of the normal price of $240.
