In the end, it matters less that the C100 Mark II [B&H | Amazon] did a great job (it did). What makes U.F.Oh Yeah rock – and it does ROCK – are the people. Of course. But you know what? Kudos to Canon for its role in making it happen.
This is my favorite short – and favorite behind the scenes follow up – in 2015 thus far.
Wonderful humor; technical wizardry; great script, pre-production, makeup, and set design – and a highly competent, collaborative crew having fun – make the entire endeavor a joy to watch.
U.F.Oh. Yeah made my day.
The short’s producer, Film Riot, has released the first in a series on how it was made. You can watch it here. They even offer a “U.F.Oh Yeah – On Set Experience” for $24.99.
It’s a perfect gift for the sci-fi filmmaking geek in your life.
