Sonyalpharumors.com is definitely a go-to site for – you guessed it — Sony rumors. Their latest rumor on the Sony A7r Mk II – that it will sport a 50mp sensor – comes with relatively high confidence (SR4 out of a possible SR5).
If true, it will be fascinating to see what trade-offs Sony makes in order to have that resolution compared to Canon.
Even more interesting? The site conducted a poll asking “Do you think you could buy a new Sony A7r Mk II with 50MP sensor?” 45% of the respondents ticked “yes”, while 35% ticked “no” (the rest are undecided).
We’re looking forward to sharing with you planet5D readers’ reactions to the Canon 5Ds and 5Ds R.
Yep, 2015 is going to be an interesting year.
Sony A7r Mk II is coming with “50Mp sensor”
A long time source got information that the new Sony A7rII is coming with a 50 Megapixel sensor. I am right now asking him when the camera will be announced and how it looks. Stay tuned, got the feeling he can tell me more and that the camera is coming sometimes…soon
