I can’t think of a better way to meld photography with a spiritual journey through time and nature than spending five nights under the dark skies of Moab, Utah learning timelapse photography in Arches National Park. planet5D friend, TL specialist and instructor Ron Risman will be holding his 2015 Timelapse Moab Workshop there in May. With only 11 spots available (and a planet5D discount – use coupon code “Planet5D”), my advice is: book now.
For each of the last three summers, I’ve traveled the American southwest only to miss the magnificent Arches National Park, just outside of Moab, UT.
And for each of the last three summers I’ve said to myself “Self, you must visit the inspiration for the fine art masquerading as pop culture, Saturday morning Looney Toons/Merrie Melodies TV series “RoadRunner.”
Ron’s 2015 Timelapse Moab may just be the thing that gets me there.
For if Road Runner (Latin: velocitus tremenjus) and Wile E. Coyote (Latin: road-runnerus digestus) are paragons of speed in one of the most awesome landscapes on the planet, the closest I’m ever coming to experiencing what they do is by speeding up time itself in said same location.
I hope to see you there.
