Breaking Gravity: Matrix Meets Street Mojo

When was the last time you watched a short and thought “how did they do that?” and then: “how did they do THAT?”

Cinematographer and planet5D reader Marc Donahue turned us on to his mash-up of breakdancing, gymnastics, parkour, and camera technique with his latest short BREAKING GRAVITY.

Within seconds, you’re asking yourself “how do these guys fly through the air like that; spin on the ground like that; hold poses like that; and not pass out from the centrifugal force of blood migrating outward away from their brains during their incredible routines?”

And then, because you are a planet5D reader, you ask yourself “how the heck did Marc get that Matrix-like effect?”

I still haven’t figured out the answer to the first question, but I do know the answer to the second: an array of GoPros mounted to…a bunch of things. You can learn more about it here.

But in the meantime, enjoy this wonderful display of human and technical bravura.
