Ollie Dale just sent this iPhone viral video that has 1.5 million views in the first day and the more I learned about it the more I wanted to share – so here we go.
While we’ve seen videos with more ‘production’ value, this one takes the cake for ingenuity – and Richard Dunn found himself thinking that the Los Vegas McCarren airport made a great “empty movie set.”
He’s quite ingenious about how he managed to add motion to his impromptu iPhone music video which he lip sync’d to Celine Dion’s “All By Myself” – perfect idea!
We’ve found an interview he did just after the video reached about 3500 views and he was ecstatic about that – it is now over 1.6 million (it went up while I was writing this LOL). In the interview he describes why he was in the airport overnight as well as how he managed to get some packing tape and thought about how to use features of the airport like moving sidewalks to make the iPhone move.
He edited the movie with FCPX by the way.
NOTE: I’m sorry about the AUTOPLAY on the audio clip… trying to figure out how to turn that off!
