Like shooting with a smart phone, the size of the Blackmagic Pocket Camera is a good news/bad news scenario. Small, light and super-portable means you can fit it into cars, narrow spaces, and get the shots.
Tight spaces also increase the risk of knocking against a consumer-grade cable connection and damaging the camera.
About Pocket Lock (HDMI)
Pocket Lock (HDMI) is designed to prevent damage to the micro HDMI port on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera by clamping the cable securely to the side of the Wooden Camera Blackmagic Pocket Camera Pocket Cage. Includes micro HDMI to HDMI pigtail cable which inserts into Pocket Lock and is secured by tightening silver thumbscrew.
Pocket Lock (Power) also attached to the side of the Blackmagic Pocket Camera Pocket Cage and is compatible with the BMPCC AC adapter included with the camera as well as all Wooden Camera power products. Many third party power solutions are also compatible.
* Note that many third party cables will work but use best judgement when sourcing cables for a small to mid size connector style.
