A few months ago, I started working on fixing up a section of the dungeon at my house (also called a basement) in order to move much of my equipment and filmmaking gear down to have more room. My office (which I call the planetarium) is nice, but it just doesn't have enough room to spread out.
So without asking my wife (brave aren't I?) I allocated part of the basement to be my new ‘studio' and I began the hard part – moving all the junk out!
I've gotten a bare minimum setup done and figured it was time to show you what I've been working on. When I started, I wasn't really thinking about documenting all the junk and just took a few shots of the area, but now I'm going to be doing some more documentation as I figured many of you might want to know what I'm doing and what I'm learning along the way. So I'm expecting to produce a few more shorts along the way.
Update:
Do you agree with my family that the background needs to be something totally different? [poll id=”37″]

Are you making your own studio?
Have you gone thru this process? Have any good tips for me to help improve my project?
