Julien Lasseur (IMDB) (our DP for “Incident on Marmont Avenue“) from the Hurlbut Visuals team made this great little video with the back story of the launching of the SmallHD company – including the amazing tale of their victory in the Doritos Super Bowl contest (which of course we covered back in the day).

SmallHD is a wonderful success story – but we’ve also included a review we found of the SmallHD AC7 LCD version down below.

Oh, and for watching SmallHD has sent us this bonus for you!

In appreciation of all your support, here is a coupon code for $50 dollars off your next $100 order at smallhd.com (valid through the end of the February).

Coupon Code: SmallHD-Origin-Story

Thanks and enjoy!

Oh, and jump over to the Hurlbut Blog for the whole back story from Julien on how he put together the video!

Big Winners: The SmallHD Story

SmallHD AC7 Field Monitor Review

Visit my facebook page for the latest updates on all the cool gear.

Just got my AC7 LCD version from Smallhd.com and it works great on my RED One MX, aside from a few issues.

On a side note, these monitors do not provide battery information. So you will have to guess or pop them in your DSLR to get an idea

I suggest to always use them on a fully charged battery that way you always have an idea of how much battery life you have left without the need to lug around your DSLR, unless you are using that DSLR then it’s all good!

Please Subscribe if you like my videos, I’ll try to do more reviews when I can

These videos take a lot of time to do, so share it if you can.
