Film Industry by the Numbers

Posted on 19. Feb, 2013

The other day, I ran into this fascinating graphic about the money in the film industry – granted it is from 2009 data, but it is interesting none the less!

It was hosted by a website advertising online MBAs – does that make it a little curious?

What do you think?

Any opinions?

These graphics are popular these days and i’d love to feature more – so if you happen to see one that would apply to our audience, please let me know!

Interesting article. Cant believe Michael Bay makes so much. He should be paying us to watch his trash. Who says you cant direct using a formula…

The employment numbers have been debunked as being completely inaccurate by no less an authority than the US Government Accountability Office. The GOA has repeatedly dismissed the MPAA’s figures as being compile junk and not valid.

I laugh at people that hate on Michael Bay. He’s good at what he does and a billion times the director that you are. The fact is he entertains the masses and ultimately that’s you “JOB” Movies are supposed to give people something and the numbers don’t lie he gets a lot of people into the theaters. If his movies were “trash” no one would go.

Its better to watch transformers then some boring ass in depth movie that no one cares about but you.

I’m not saying he’s the best director, I’m just saying he does his job well and proof is in the pudding. He’s great at doing action and he has a great visual style.

People are sometimes so ignorant and show no respect.
