The king is dead! Canon EOS 5D Mark II discontinued
Posted on 23. Dec, 2012
According to canonrumors.com, the king of HDSLRs is dead – the Canon EOS 5D Mark II has been discontinued according to the Canon Japan website. There’s no official statement as far as I’ve found, but the page does look pretty official.
Of course, if you’re looking to buy one, the prices have been down lately ($1599 and $1529 – see below) and now, you’ll have a much harder time finding them in stock.
Buy now:
B&H $1599
Amazon $1529
We just had the 4th anniversary of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II as well.

I agree, a classic maybe. Have to admit I didn’t have all the luck in the world with this camera but it was certainly one to know about. the mark 3 was a long time coming.
