I can’t imagine being homeless – homelessness is an incredibly griping and difficult subject – and yet, Mike Staniforth has used his HDSLR to make a very human documentary on a small group of the homeless in Manchester UK.

We watch something like this and feel a huge variety of emotions – and I sure went thru them when I watched. I want to do something – but then again, I (like most others) am afraid – as Nino Leitner said in the comments on Vimeo, “we are actually afraid of homeless people for no reason, or simply because it makes it easier on our conscience to not actually think about them and let them “invade” our mind with their very real problems.”

I applaud Mike for making this film and encourage you to “tip” Mike (using the Vimeo Tip Jar) – I did. Mike will be donating 50% to a homeless shelter and 50% will go to helping fund a followup documentary.

In fact, I challenge you to make a donation! Get off your butt and quit just thinking about it!
