Using the Canon EOS 5D Mark II for a crash cam!

Posted on 13. Apr, 2012 by

We’ve all wanted to destroy a camera now and then right? Well, if you’ve always wanted to do that but are cheap like me, you can fantasize about it thru the work of Shane Hurlbut and his amazing team!

Vashi Nedomansky has put together this fun short showing all of the shots where something has been crashing on the Hurlbut set with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II involved.

Shane Hurlbut – Crash Cam

Vashi Nedomansky Notes:

I edited a sizzle reel for Shane Hurlbut that consists of numerous examples of the Canon 5Dmkii being used as a crash cam for dangerous stunts.

Some of the high-speed slow motion is film. All the crashes/impacts are 5Dmkii. Additional speed changes used Twixtor in AE.

Now isn’t that just something fun you’d love to work on?

    Loved this post –

This is something most of us promotional video cats don’t get to enjoy, really stinking cool!

Yeah, no thanks…I’m not ready to relegate my 5DmkII to trash-it projects. I just got mine!
