Must See Canon EOS 5D Mark II stop motion merged with google street view

I found this gem on twitter (via Ed Smith) a few weeks ago and saved it because I knew you guys would want to see it – shot on a Canon EOS 5D Mark II with some beautiful stop motion skills and merged with data from google street view, this is just worth sitting down and watching… (and it has 1.9 million views on vimeo)

Description

Google Street View stop motion animation short made as a personal project by director Tom Jenkins.

Story: A lonely desk toy longs for escape from the dark confines of the office, so he takes a cross country road trip to the Pacific Coast in the only way he can – using a toy car and Google Maps Street View.

All screen imagery was animated – there are no screen replacements.
