This is one of the most underwhelming news I’ve heard in a while. So much PR and anticipation for… a body cap? Nobody cares.

    I love the futuristic design.
I think it’s an excellent solution for professional use.
Is expensive but I think last a lifetime.
I ordered one, I’ll keep you updated.

@Philippe @Sebastian – guys come on… this is a business venture – they think they’ve found a niche that they think needs to be filled. You may not like the idea, that’s fine, but there are likely plenty of people who see the need and will buy.

Let the market decide and it would be better karma for you if you wished them luck instead of belittling their idea.

I have no use for this product, but some people might. There are a lot of things that I have no use for, but that doesn’t mean that someone else doesn’t have a use for it.

If there’s a market for this product it may succeed. No use in getting bent out of shape about it. I have no use for a $7000 tripod head or a $100,000 lens, but there are obviously markets for these products.

As long as they’re not marketing this body cap to the average consumer then I see no problem with it.

I’m guessing this product would appeal to people like Chase Jarvis who does location shoots in hostile environments, but what do I know. For all I know he’s perfectly fine with plastic body caps.

Anyone else have any ideas who this product would be perfect for?

I think it’s perfect for me. I spent $1900,00 for my wonderful Canon camera but I’ve a $3,00 plastic body cap! This body cap is like a Mac…it’s cool!!!

I changed the fuel cap on my bike. Why did I do? Because I found one I liked much more. It’s the same thing for the camera!

I dig it. $100 is a little pricey but I love stuff like this. But I won’t buy it with that slogan around it. “The original Lock Circle Camera Body Cap” man that just junks up the sleek look of it. less is always more when trying to make something like this.

I’d buy it Maybe if it was 10 euro. Because it looks cool.

And for the pure novelty of it. But I really think it’s asking waaay too much money for a piece of aluminum with little to no R&D costs seeing as all they had to do was get a standard Canon body cap, measure the thing and the machine the aluminum.

Then drill some holes in the top of it… XD

    Man this thing is ridiculous!

I had to re-read it several times to work out what it was. It’s a pretty cap! That will improve my cinematography to no end! People are actually buying these? And it’s not even April. Still scratching my head, do I just not get it???
