New option for the HDSLR international event calendar – add your own!

by planetMitch1 Comment

We've just added a new feature to the planet5D Event Calendar – the ability to add your own event! It is a very simple form to fill out and doesn't take long… so give it a go!

About the HDSLR calendar

The calendar displays a listing of upcoming HDSLR events around the world. Each event has its own page when the user clicks on the title and the page shows the event details as well as a Google map to help the reader know exactly where to go if they plan to attend.

“One of the best features of this calendar is that it an option to have the reader request a reservation for the event.” planetMitch said. “This will be great for the organizer of a meetup for example. They can get an idea of how many people are coming to make sure they have enough space. The organizer will also get an email from everyone who registers so they can send out their own updates if things change as well.” This optional reservation system won’t take payments for an event that has a fee, but can take pre-registrations for example. (Note, while this feature is available on the calendar, it isn't in the user submission, please contact us)

On the planet5D blog, there are two ways to see the events. In the right sidebar, there’s a widget which shows the next 5 events in the calendar. There’s also a link at the top of the page which will take the readers to the entire calendar listing.

If you’d like more information, please contact us! If you have an event that you’d like listed in the planet5D International Event Calendar, now you have the ability to add it!

  1. Awesome calendar, Planet Mitch. Really appreciate. The enthusiasm for DSLR filmmaking is indeed worldwide, and it’s nice to see the various future events in one spot. Rock on, Jim
