Just a quick image – someone has used a Canon EOS 5D Mark II (reviews) as an ashtray! This has been shared on several sites and this morning hit Gizmodo. Discussion after the break

Ok, I’m not sure there’s any good explanation for this – Petapixel nor Gizmodo knows for sure why it was done, but here’s what Gizmodo wonders:
I wonder how this happened. Did a bunch of Chinese businessmen desecrate this Canon 5D Mark II for kicks or were they jonesing for some cigs and had nothing but this used camera lying around?
