Here is a little Quick Take on the brand new Wide Open Camera & Light Craft Workshop 3-Stop Polarizer Filter. A polarizer is an essential filter to help reduce glare and darken the sky. I always find myself using an ND filter with a polarizer in bright sun. This 3-Stop Polarizer does it all in one filter. It is a circular polarizer so it will work with auto focus lenses and it is thin, so it will work with most wide angle lenses.
**Note: The meter read from f8.2-f2.8.9**
**Polarizer Filters vary in the exact amount of neutral density they provide.

This has been a dream of mine for some time now. To get my name on a product that will help cinematographers. I have been thinking about a 3-Stop Polarizer since the HDSLR cameras hit the street. The sweet spot for most of my outdoor photography has been a ND3 and Polarizer. Here is that combination in one sweet ass filter. This is a Multi-Coated Circular Polarizer with an additional ND3 Filter. That will give you roughly 3 Stops of ND while shooting outdoors. Here are a few photos showing a Tiffen regular 1-2/3 stop polarizer filter and the Wide Open Camera 3-Stop Polarizer. The still examples were shot at exposure with both filters. I will get a Quick Take video up soon. Pricing will be similar to the Fader Nd Filter. $125-$159. Available May 2011.
