Jag35 continues to add new products to their line of video HDSLR accessories and now have announced this new quick release to easily add/remove rods to your HDSLR.

Redrock Micro

From the PR:

Jag35.com Just released a Quick release Stand for installing Industry standard 15mm rods to DSLRs. Easily and quickly install and remove any DSLR body to any rod system.

Compatible with DSLRs like the Canon 5DMK2, 7D, 60D, T2i Nikon D90, and D7000. It screws to the camera using a 1/4-20 threaded screw and it attaches to industry standard 15mm rods by tightening one knob. The advantage of this product over our regular “DSLR stand” is that you don’t have to remove other equipment that is in front or back in the rod system to install this piece, as you do not need to slide it on the rod but rather clamp it. The Quick Release DSLR Stand is made of light but strong aluminum and anodized black and orange.

Quick Release DSLR Stand Features:

Accepts 15mm rods
No need to slide, clamps right on
Adjustable
Easy to use
Now Shipping $139.99

A copy of redrock no doubt. Buy what they didn’t count on is the red rock design is no good to begin with. As soon as you put a follow focus to work you get all sorts of tilting/shifting problems. And their customer service pretends there’s no problem at all. Useless. If you want to use a follow focus a as well.. you’re better off getting a very solid base plate system of some kind, rather than one of these tilting and towering contraptions. They rock….. literally.
