There's a new HDSLR viewfinder on the market now and it is a bit different than the others – Cinevate has announced their new “Cyclops” which is not only a viewfinder, but it can be configured as a rig as well as a macro lens providing more than just a viewfinder. It is also unique in that you can see the LCD image without having to place your head directly against an eye cup.

This looks to be pretty cool. It might eliminate the need for an external monitor in some cases. We'll be curious to see your thoughts.

PRE-ORDERS NOW AVAILABLE. Order now and save during this 30 day, introductory price period. Actual product will ship October 8th, 2010.

Cyclops is as simple as a viewfinder, or as elaborate as a full HD DSLR support solution.

Cyclops uses fiber-reinforced composite to ensure it is rugged, strong and very light.
