Winter and Spring with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and the Canon 85mm f1.2

Many people love the Canon 85mm f1.2 lens (reviews) and I'm one of them (tho I don't own one yet). This morning, I went back to a thread over on the photography-on-the.net threads about the 85mm and the first page I went to had this beautiful image (see below) shot on the Canon EOS 5D Mark II (reviews) called “Spring” by C.T. Pham (aka ~Phamster~). You should see more of his work – here's an amazing couple of images and he describes how he created them in this thread.

So I asked him if I could share it with you. And actually, it is the second in the series (guess what, there are 4 in the series, 1 for each season – clever eh? LOL) and the first was “Katie ~ Magical Winter Wish”

and then comes Spring…

(you can read the setup details on the flickr thread)

and there's a behind the scenes (bts) video shot by Ryan O Hicks that helps with understanding how the shot is made:

Now, don't you agree with me? Amazing! The Canon EOS 5D Mark II does shoot some great photos – and you have to know your skills to really execute like the ~phamster~!

oh, and here's just one more – read all about how it was created on this ~phamster~ thread
