Shane Hurlbut has released the third episode of his behind the scenes (BTS) for his short “The Last 3 Minutes” which was shot on the Canon EOS 5D Mark II (reviews). You can view the movie on planet5D Cinema of course. And here's the link to Shane's BTS blog post with more details – and you can ask questions of him there as well.

Shane shows (and tells in the blog post some things that aren't in the video) some great details in this setup and why they did what they did to get the shot that Po wanted. It always amazes me what you movie guys and gals go thru to get the shot!

Here's a sample of just part of the description in the blog post: “Next, it was on to creating the balloons of light. Gore, our very talented Production Designer and the Art Director hung 4 long strands of carnival lights from the tree and the light poles. We had two fantastic interns helping us on this job. One flew all the way from Kansas City to work on this, he put himself up at a hotel and rented a car just to participate; meet Brandon. The other one was a film student from Occidental College studying Cinematography and Direction; meet Julien. These guys were the backbone of the crew.”

Our thanks again to Shane and Lydia and the whole Hurlbut Visuals team (especially Ryan for helping with the video) for sharing this with planet5D and our readers!
