Many of you may have seen my tweet about it earlier, but I had a great chat today with Jem Schofield about a ton of different subjects surrounding the “HDSLR” world, production, post production, training, industry leaders, and beyond. It was so much fun, I asked him if we'd be able to do it all over again so that you, the planet5D readers could join in so you can ask questions!
planet5D live chat with Jem Schofield – Sunday May 23rd 9PM EDT
Jem and I (and you!) will be chatting on the planet5D Live! page starting at 9pm EDT on Sunday May 23rd. And on UStream, you too can join in and ask questions in the chat window. You will need to register at UStream (their requirement not mine) in order to chat in the chat window… so you may want to do that early.
Jem is the brain behind theC47.com – a site devoted to giving you tons of production and post production information. He's also putting on “the filmmaker's intensive” (read more about that here) that is starting in late June (and there's a $500 discount if you sign up before June 1)
From his “about” page:
theC47 is an online and offline resource for production based training, information and services.
Jem Schofield, founder of theC47 and the host of gearbox, is a producer, creative director and author who consults on and teaches production and post-production solutions throughout the United States. His company, Buttons Productions, produces video, print, web and motion graphics projects for an ever expanding client base. He's determined to update his company's web site one day with some recent work. He'll probably just post stuff on theC47 instead.
Jem is an Apple Master Trainer and author of the Apple Pro Training Series book entitled Motion 4 Quick-Reference Guide. He is also the co-author of the Apple Pro Training Series book entitled Motion Graphics and Effects in Final Cut Studio 2 and a contributing author of the Apple Pro Training Series book: DVD Studio Pro 4, 2nd Edition. He also writes tutorials and product reviews for Studio/monthly.
We're going to start out talking about the training he's putting on and we'll move into just about anything you'd like to talk about. He's only got an hour, so tune in early and stay as long as you can. Based on today's conversation we had, it will be a lively discussion!
