Fox TV Show House on 5D2 and chatter on Twitter

I've not talked much about this for a variety of reasons, but maybe many of you already know about it. The final episode of the FOX tv show “House” was filmed on the Canon EOS 5D Mark II! Yes, I know, failed getting the news to you earlier – but wait, we are working on getting some information on the show and hope to have something coming soon.

However, in the mean time, this Friday (tomorrow here in the USA) at 10am PDT (that's 1pm EDT), the producer of the show @GregYaitanes and several of the crew members will be hosting a “picnic” on You use twitter to ask questions, and they'll answer back on brizzly. I'm not quite sure how it will work, but I'll tune in to see!

You can see Cali Lewis' discussion about the House “picnic” at the end of this GeekBrief:

  1. No worries about not posting about this earlier Mitch! Your site is full of great information.

No doubt the 5D Mark II is still the “king” in many aspects when it comes to DSLRs with Full HD capabilities.

Still remember when the 5D Mark II was just beginning to be used for serious productions? 🙂

In another topic, we are working to let Canon Inc. know about an already reported and fully confirmed issue found on Firmware 2.0.4 that needs to be fixed (“iris jitter”).

Canon UK is aware while Canon USA not much yet (it seems there is some kind of lack of communication), but we are following the process VERY closely, thanks to the users feedbacks and our own communication with Canon.

So we expect a NEW firmware update in near future. We’ll post more about it soon.
