People are getting their hands on the Canon Rebel T2i/550D and they're starting to produce some beautiful moving images! We posted a bit the other day about Torres Studio's “The Bridge” and how they were using the Canon EOS 7D and 5D2 to make a cool movie. Well, now we find out they've gotten a Canon Rebel T2i/550D and are mixing in some T2i video with the 7D video and not having any trouble. See info on their blog.
From their blog:
“The visual quality of the 550D T2i is equivalent to the 7D pretty much across the board. I have inter-cut 7D footage with 550D footage and there is no visible difference. The 7D seems to be a little more sensitive in low-light but not a major leap. I was so happy with the performance of the T2i, after a few hours of testing, I was comfortable enough to make it as my B camera in my WW2 short film “The Bridge†which was shot primarily on the 7D and 5DM2. You can judge the scene below, proudly shot on the T2i.”
