UPDATED: Canon EOS 5D Mark II firmware to arrive week of March 17

canonrumors just reported they have heard the Canon EOS 5D Mark II firmware will be released the week of March 17th.

UPDATE: CR has added updates about features in the release… please read that over there.

UPDATE 2: Canonrumors has confirmed what is included in the firmware update! In a new blog post this evening, they have a snapshot of a canon presentation today in Poland. Click here for a look at their snapshot for confirmation. NO 60FPS is listed!

“The new firmware for the 5D Mark II will arrive the week of March 17, 2010. This seems to be close to the NAB show.

The information briefly appeared on the Canon UK web site, it’s now gone at the URL I was given.

    I’ll hate Canon, if I wont get 720p @60fps!!!
    I’m planning something which would look really be cool in slowmo!

    And if a cheaper 7D can make it, but my 5D cannot (in the Future) I’ll be really disappointed – and there is no plausible explanation if u ask me…
