Yikes! An actual price DECREASE on the Canon EOS 5D Mark II in the USA

Several people reported this the other day (and I’m sorry for being a bit behind – but I’m working on something new for planet5D that I think you’ll enjoy)… but Canon USA has actually reduced the price of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II by $200!

The online photographer blog has a suspicion they know the reason why Canon’s dropped the price too – rumors of upcoming Nikons. Read the blog for more please.

So, here’s the official Canon USA page showing the new ‘suggested retail price’ of $2499. And yes, the kit is down $200 too to $3299.
