I had been told by a Canon rep, last year, that the 24/25fps firmware update for the 5D Mark II would be available by January or February of this year. I emailed Canon USA this morning, to get the status of that update... and received a reply stating, "We do apologize, but we do not have any information of when or if an update of this nature will be available." When or IF?? The reply goes on to say that they know the inquiry has been posed to Canon engineers, and that it may be incorporated into future updates... but no guarantee that it will, or when. That's as of March 1st, 2010.

it makes me laugh when so many "professionals" whine and complain about improvements to things like "auto' focus and "auto" exposure and 'auto" shutter. The sheer volume of it must be an indication that weddings are still paying the bills.

I REALLY hope they add Image stabilization on all time during movie recording. Not just when you got the shutter pressed. Annoying!
